Where is a great place to raise a family?

Tuesday, February 20, 2007

I'm looking for a place to raise my large family (5 children). I'm hoping to find a good family oriented place. I'd love to have big trees in our yard and nice weather without it being too expensive. Also, my husband works in computer programming, so a place that he could find a great job would also be needed. I'd appreciate any help/opinions on this. Thanks.

Well, since Hillsboro, Oregon is the Northwest Silicon Valley, it would be the best choice. Oregon, too is a wonderful place to live. Intel, Tektronix and lots of other computer companies are within a few miles of country living. Worth checking out. We are one hour from Mt. Hood and one hour from the marvelous Pacific Ocean.

I live in a small town about 25 minutes from Columbus, OH. I love it here, great school district, Liberty Union-Thurston Schools in Fairfield County, Ohio. Nice quaint little town. Still close enough to all the big cities but without all the crime, etc. Very reasonable cost of living and close enough to Columbus that your husband could commute and find many job opportunities available Good Luck and Hope this helps.
