As for tax software, we were amazed to get Turbotax free when we bought Quicken at Office Depot this past weekend! (In fact, we went in to buy Quicken. It was $29. We saw, in the coupon book, that Quicken came free with the purchase of any TurboTax product, so we bought TurboTax Basic at $20! ... Spending $20 to save $10!!!)
As for Norton, I'd say you'd do *far* better to go with *any* other security software, please. (Personal opinion). Remember, you need three security components to be safe: (1) firewall; (2) anti-virus; and (3) anti-spyware. My recommendations, all *free*, are (1) comodo, www.comodo.com; (2) AVG, free.grisoft.com; and (3) spybot search-and-destroy plus lavasoft ad-aware, both of which you may find at www.generalgeeks.com - remember in all three cases that you *must* go online on a regular basis and keep the definitions up to date! Remember with (2) and (3) to scan regularly. Remember that (1) is a hassle at first until it "learns" what items are allowable in your habits...so don't be alarmed: two days of hassle will be worth the protection in the long run!
