I'm going to be purchasing a large TV and I need to know the advantages and disadvantages of these 3 competing technologies.

I would think it depends on what your needs are as to which you should purchase. If you need to hang it on a wall, you should get either a Plasma or LCD. If it can be a deep TV, you can opt for the DLP. Plasmas give you a higher viewing angle than both DLPs and LCDs and traditionally has a better contrast ratio. As a result, DLPs and LCDs are slightly cheaper than Plasmas. A disadvantage of a Plasma is for the first 100 hours, you should refrain from displaying static images (like video games and anamorphic wide movies). If you need a very large screen, DLPs and Plasmas are generally built with larger screens than LCDs.
