I've seen technical pros and cons all over. Now, I'm just asking for personal taste, if you've used both. Which do you enjoy more? Mac or Windows? (And did you have to spend an arm and a leg for a powerful enough Mac?) I, personally, so far, have used only Windows.

I bought Quickbooks 5.0 for Mac Premier,off ebay for less than $20, where it normally sells for about $200 retail. Thought I was getting a good deal, because I wanted to use it to log into my bank account and download my transactions after they had posted to the account. but I cannot find a way to do so. ARe there two types/quality of Quickbooks or did I miss something in the install, or directions?

I'm about to sign up with covad - no software, just a router on the phone line. Would you kindly explain to me, in small and simple terms, what I'll need to do to set it up, so I'll be ready, and so I'll understand it? (I haven't signed up yet. I have 2 computers in the house; 3 phone jacks. I'll use only 1 computer at any one time, and don't want to interfere with phone calls on the other 2 jacks!)

Does anyone know of anyplace have a good sale on the 2007 Norton Internet Security program where I don't have to pay $50-$60 or buy Tax Software to get a good deal.
I don't mind mail in rebates if they're not too much and they're reputable. But I don't want to have to buy a bunch of other software in order to get a good deal. I've looked at this weeks store advertisements and the only deals I found were attached to purchasing Turbo Tax, etc.

I have a program (Adobe Premiere 1.5) that will not install on Windows Vista, but will install on Windows XP. I get an error message saying, "This operating system is not supported".

My new HP came with pre-installed "Easy Internet Signup" intended, I'm sure, to help with easy early-on connections to e.g., Earthlink, AOL, Netscape, PeoplePC, MSN. I do not plan on using any of these (unless I get desperate sometime in the far-distant future). Do I truly need this (large) Online Services folder and its set of shortcuts? If not, how may I go about *safely* deleting the whole kit and kaboodle?
